MEASUREMENT GUIDE
HOW TO TAKE YOUR MEASUREMENTS
Taking Measurements - Please refer to the image guide on the right of this page.
BUST - The bust measurement is taken across the fullest part of your bust.
UNDER BUST – Taken directly under the bust & towards the top of ribcage.
WAIST - The waist measurement is taken at the smallest part of your torso. Keep the tape taught against your waist and allow for a small breath. If you breath in our out too deeply the waist could end up being too loose or tight so ensure you feel comfortable when taking this measurement.
HIGH HIP – The high hip is taken 10cm down from the true waist, keeping the tape measure parallel to the floor.
LOW HIP – The low hip is taken 20cm down from the waist, keeping the tape measure parallel to the floor. Please note that this measurement may not be at your widest part, often women are wider slightly lower down. If this is the case for you, please ensure to take this into consideration when choosing the size you would like to order.
BICEP – Taken around the bicep – this is only needed for gowns with a sleeve such as the Sofia Rosa & Florence.
WRIST - Taken around the smallest part of your arm at the wrist point. This is only needed for gowns with a sleeve such as the Sofia Rosa.
LENGTH - All of our sample gowns measure 120cm from the ‘true’ waist to floor at the Centre Front. Please bear in mind If you would like extra length, please include this information in the order notes. We highly recommend when taking this measurement you do so in the heels/shoes you plan on wearing on your wedding day.
*As all our gowns are hand made we allow for a +/- tolerance of 1-2cm from the measurement guide.
