A MOMENT WITH SUNDAY EVE

We are so thrilled to welcome Sunday Eve as our Sydney stockist.
Founded in late 2022, Sunday Eve was created for brides looking for a relaxed and curated alternative to the traditional gown shopping experience which can be overwhelming.
We recently sat down with the boutique owner, Cass, who gives us a bit of insight into her inspiration behind the name, gorgeous Paddington space and some tips for brides.
WHEN DID YOU FIRST OPEN SUNDAY EVE, AND WHAT DOES YOUR BOUTIQUE NAME MEAN?
Sunday Eve opened its doors to brides looking for something fresh and genuine in the world of bridal fashion in November 2022. The name “Sunday Eve” is close to my heart—it’s inspired by my daughter, Eve, who was born on a quiet Sunday morning. Sundays have this beautiful, unhurried energy, and I wanted the boutique to capture that same ease and calm, creating a relaxed space where brides can truly enjoy their search for the perfect gown.

DID YOU PREVIOUSLY WORK IN FASHION OR THE BRIDAL INDUSTRY, OR WAS THIS A NEW ADVENTURE FOR YOU?
This was totally new for me. I started Sunday Eve after my own search as a bride made me realise how hard it can be to find something that feels like you. I kept trying on gowns that felt too traditional, too “bridal” and overdone — so when I discovered designers creating pieces with heart and artistry, I was hooked. I wanted to bring those designers to other brides looking for something with meaning and quality.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO OPEN SUNDAY EVE?
Sunday Eve started because I wanted to create a space where brides could connect with something special—gowns that aren’t mass-produced, made by designers who source quality fabrics, integrate couture finishes and care about every detail. It’s more than just a dress; it’s about finding something that feels personal, like it’s made for you. I knew I wanted to support these amazing, lesser-known designers, bringing their work to brides who value the same things.

WHO IS THE SUNDAY EVE BRIDE?
Sunday Eve brides are, above all, incredibly kind. It’s one of the things I notice in every single one of them. They’re down-to-earth with a touch of sophistication, caring more about what feels true to them than about following trends. They love a mix of thoughtful details, timeless style, and pieces that feel effortless but special.
WHAT IS YOUR NUMBER ONE PIECE OF ADVICE FOR THE BRIDE OF TODAY?
Above all, trust yourself. There’s so much “advice” out there on what you should or shouldn’t wear, but it’s about how you feel. Choose what speaks to your style and makes you feel incredible. This day is about you—embrace what makes you feel genuinely yourself.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT OWNING A BRIDAL BOUTIQUE?
I love being part of such an important moment in someone’s life—it’s amazing to see that spark when a bride finds a gown that feels like her. And I love working with designers who are so passionate about what they do. Each gown represents hours of dedication and artistry, and seeing a bride connect with that is why I do this.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST LOVED INGRID OLIC PIECE AND WHY?
I have a few but right now my favorite has to be the Esther gown from INGRID OLIĆs latest Elementa Collection which just arrived in the studio. I love it because it’s got this beautiful balance—it’s clean, but there’s a drama to it that feels timeless and a bit unexpected. There’s something about the way it hugs and enhances the shape that’s just captivating. When brides put it on, they feel and look incredible.
